oh yeah!
It felt pretty good typing that #1 next to Alabama, which is a 3 point favorite at LSU this weekend. Let's hope we don't give it back the week after we took it.

Auburn has Tennessee Martin at home this weekend. The only line I could find is Auburn by 27. Which reminds me of Tennessee's line against Wyoming: -26.5. Jokes can (and have) been made about their offenses, but I'll take both to cover.

Is it just me, or is Northwestern getting a LOT of air time this year? Seems like they own the early morning Big 10 slot on ESPN.

Texas Tech hangover against OK St.? We'll see.

I was miffed last night that we had Maryland / Va. Tech and Browns / Broncos on TV, but not #11 TCU @ #9 Utah. That's some b.s. Turns out it had a pretty exciting finish, too. (Maybe less exciting for our TCU readers!)

We aren't going to score 27 points, nevermind covering a 27-point spread. A healthy defense probably generates 1 or 2 big play scores, but the current, crippled unit should only be useful for forcing punts, and the offense is not going to manage 5 scoring drives. A punt return could change all that, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, "less exciting for our TCU readers" is one way to put it. Let's just say that I'm so emotionally drained that I don't think I have it in me right now to make my usual comments on the week's games. Maybe I will later, since there are some decent games.

Ahh...the schedule...one of the few things I can count on these days. :P

Oddly enough, my dad is returning home from OK around 4, so I suppose I'll end up listening to part of the game on the radio. Funny, but practically the same thing happened to me last year...except that it was actually in October...and I flew back from Connecticut, to be picked up by my parents, and listened to the Bama game on the radio while we drove to TGIFriday's to eat. So I ended up missing pretty much the whole game.

Weird how life can (somewhat) repeat itself.

And I'm obviously rather bored since I'm sitting here typing all this. HAHA!
